Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his two-day visit to Himachal Pradesh from today

Shimla: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his two-day visit to Himachal Pradesh today (Thursday, June 16) with a visit to Dharamsala. The PM will arrive at the specially built helipad at the Police Stadium in Dharamsala, where he will be received by the State Governor, CM and Union Minister Anurag Thakur. Modi will leave for Delhi on Friday evening.

Ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur on Wednesday reviewed the preparations for the visit. The Chief Minister presided over the review meeting and directed the officials concerned to ensure proper arrangements as per protocol. Jai Ram also reviewed the preparations for the roadshow. After Himachal, Modi will leave for his home state Gujarat and on Friday, June 18, will lay the foundation stone for the permanent campus of Gujarat Central University to be built on 100 acres of land at Kundela village near Vadodara. According to the State Govt.

The Gujarat government has allocated land, and the Center has allocated Rs 743 crore for the construction of the Gujarat Central University (Central University of Gujarat) campus in Vadodara, which has been operating from its temporary campus in Gandhinagar since 2009. This will be PM Modi’s second visit to his home state after eight days. He had visited the state on June 10.

Elections in both Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat are due later this year.
