A major reshuffle has been made in the program of President Ram Nath Kovind’s visit to Shimla. This change has been made due to the arrival of four people corona positive in the retreat. Now the President will stay in the Sicil Hotel, not the Retreat. Now the return of the President to Delhi will also happen a day earlier i.e. on September 19. In view of the tour, arrangements have been tightened in Shimla and security agencies have taken the lead. Every suspicious activity is being monitored by increasing the security cordon around the hotel and around the Himachal Assembly complex. President Ram Nath Kovind will visit Shimla on 16 September and will address the Assembly on 17 September. Keeping in view the Kovid-19 infection during the President’s visit, apart from the officers and employees associated with him, people coming in direct contact with him are being tested. The process of conducting the Kovid-19 test will continue till September 15. Due to the reshuffle in the tour, the traffic plan and security arrangements of Shimla city are being reviewed afresh. For this, a sequence of continuous meetings is going on at the level of State Secretariat, Police Headquarters, Assembly Secretariat and District Administration. In the meetings, it has been asked to ensure that all the instructions received from Rashtrapati Bhavan are followed. During this, the Kovid-19 protocol will be fully followed. For this, a team of Health Department is being deployed separately.
