Pre-Vidhan Sabha elections are showing BJP mischievous and misleading: Mayawati – World Latest News Headlines

Terming the recently aired pre-poll survey by a news channel as ‘naughty’ Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati said on Saturday that this survey has been done to mislead the people of Uttar Pradesh and demoralize the workers and leaders of her party.

“It is well known that with the Covid pandemic, the economy is in a bad shape as in 1991. Because of this, the entire country has been suffering due to inflation, poverty and unemployment for a long time. This has angered the people against it. BJP And the rating graph of the ruling party has also fallen. Yesterday a TV channel was showing a pre-poll survey where BJP got more than 40 percent votes, which is more than last time. In a statement, the BSP chief said, “There seems to be something mischievous and even misleading in the air.

Mayawati said that the main objective of the survey is to show the BJP in a good light and also try to demoralize the people of BSP. “They should know that BSP people have faced such conspiracies in the past as well. They will not fall for this survey but will accept it as a challenge,” said Mayawati.

Drawing a parallel with the state elections in 2007, the former chief minister said, “Our party finds it difficult to digest pre-poll surveys. In 2007, despite overwhelming support for the BSP, pre-poll polls refused to believe it. Denied that the BSP would form the government and kept saying that our party would be the single largest party. But after the results came, we formed the government with full majority.

He said such conspiracies will also increase as elections approach and become “divisive and cheap”.

He claimed that Dalits, Backward, Adivasis, Muslims and other religious minorities were with the BSP, but the Brahmin community among the upper castes is also supporting my party.

Mayawati said that due to the success of the BSP’s Brahmin outreach programmes, it has worried rival parties and now “the BJP is copying the BSP and starting a similar outreach program for the enlightened class (intellectuals)”. “If some party is copying us, how can they be ahead of us when we are nowhere (in the survey). This shows that the survey is mischievous,” she said.
