Prayagraj: Sangam City has recorded highest number of violation of election model code of conduct in the Prayagraj range between January 16 and February 17,2022.
Records claimed that Prayagraj district has recorded a total of 22 cases of violation of election model code of conduct and followed by Fatehpur (20), Pratapgarh (11) and Kaushambi (4). A total of 57 cases of violation of election code of conduct were registered in Prayagraj range comprising four districts including Prayagraj, Pratapgarh, Fatehpur and Kaushambi. Polling will be held in Prayagraj, Kaushambi and Pratapgarh districts on February 27.
Senior cops, however, maintained that a strict surveillance has been maintained. The cops have also been scanning videos that went viral on social media to find out the cases of violation of code of conduct and subsequent registering FIRs in the same regard. TNN
