The winter session comes to a close after Prime Minister Modi announced the repeal of three agricultural laws on November 19.

The meeting of leaders for the Rajya Sabha will be held at around 5.30 pm at the residence of Rajya Sabha Chairman and Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu. The floor leaders’ meeting of the Lok Sabha will be convened by the speaker, and is likely to be held on November 27.

These are the customary meetings to be held before the start of any Parliament session. During these meetings the opposition parties express what issues they would like to discuss during the session. On behalf of the government, the PM assured them that all such issues would be discussed and debated. However, the time allotted for each issue is finalized in the meetings of the Business Advisory Committee of both the Houses.

The monsoon session of Parliament was rather tumultuous, when the opposition disrupted the House demanding a discussion on Pegasus and the government managed to pass several bills without any discussion, each allotted three to four minutes.
