Power Make-AMR bags ₹9,294 crore coal mining deal

Power Make Projects Limited has been awarded a ₹9,294 crore mine development and operation project from Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited.

Sajja Kishor Babu, Chairman and Managing Director said in a regulatory listing, “The project has been awarded to a consortium of Power Make Projects Limited and AMR India Limited (74:26 percent stake). A special purpose vehicle – KBP Mining Pvt Ltd has been constituted to take up the project.

The 25-year concession covers mining operations at Kotre Basantpur Pachmo OCP located in Ramgarh and Bokaro districts of Jharkhand.

The total coal extraction capacity is about 105 million tonnes with an annual capacity of 5 million tonnes. The deal provides an option to extend the contract for 10 more years with the consent of both the parties.
