Yuri Andrukhovich is an eminent contemporary Ukrainian writer. In the late 1980s, he founded the Boo-Ba-Boo Group (the three syllables stand for “burlesque, balagan, and buffonada” according to Wikipedia) with Viktor Neborac and Oleksandr Irvnetes. He is one of the writers who gave new life to Ukrainian literature. His popular works include ‘Reincarnation’, ‘Pervarzian’, ’12 Circles’, ‘The Moscovied’ etc.
