‘Poor and women benefited, voting for BJP in gratitude’ | Allahabad News – Times of India

PRAYAGRAJ: BJP general secretary and Rajya Sabha MPArun Singh on Sunday said that the impact of welfare schemes for the poor has been clearly evident in the first three phases of state assembly polls as people have expressed their gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CM Yogi Adityanath by casting their votes to BJP.
Campaigning for party candidates in Prayagraj, Singh said, “Garibon ne BJP ko vote dekar, Modi ji aur Yogi ji ka aabhar vyakt kiya hai. During the pandemic, both Union and state governments had opened their treasures for the poor to ensure that no one goes to sleep empty stomach.”
The welfare of the poor has always been a priority of the BJP government which ensured free ration to the needy, direct transfer of money in bank accounts of women, and better law and order, the RS MP said. He added that BJP will sweep the polls by winning over 300 of 403 seats in the state.
People have realized the difference between BJP and other governments. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati were involved in corruption and as a result, the poor did not get ration.
He also accused SP chief of shielding mafia, goons, and anti-nationals during his term as chief minister.
“BJP government waived off the loans of around 86 lakh farmers soon after forming government in the state, gave free ration to 15 crore people and built 83 lakh houses for the poor. More than 2.5 crore farmers are getting money under PM Samman Nidhi scheme,” he added.
“Akhilesh is immature and doesn’t know how to speak. Akhilesh ne abhi-abhi mandir jana shuru kiya hai. But people know who had killed Ram bhakts in Ayodhya?,” said Singh.
Samajwadi Party and Congress had always indulged in appeasement politics and protected the anti-nationals. The role of people from the state in Gujarat 2008 blasts is a result of this, he alleged.
The Rajya Sabha MP said BJP will retain power in UP as the poor and women have made up their mind to vote for the party.
“Today, UP is danga-mukt (riot-free) pradesh but it was danga-yukt pradesh in the Akhilesh regime,” he added.
The Yogi government seized properties worth more than Rs 2,000 crore from the mafia and goons.
Under the Nishadraj scheme, the people of Machhuara community would be given 40% subsidy on purchasing boats worth Rs one lakh, he added while asserting that there has been overall development across the state and Metro project is all set to kick off in Prayagraj district, Singh added.
