Students were informed about the postponement of the exam due to a paper leak just before the start of the exam after they had reached the hall to take the exam.

After the NEET exam, yet another paper leak case has come to light. The first-year MBBS exam at Pondicherry University has been postponed due to a paper leak. Students were informed about the postponement of the exam due to a paper leak just before the start of the exam after they had reached the hall to take the exam.

The Assistant Registrar (Medical) of the University sent a circular regarding the postponement of the examination to the Deans/Directors of the colleges affiliated with the university. However, no reason has been given for postponing the examination. The circular states that the examinations of the MBBS 2024 session first year have to be deferred due to unavoidable reasons. The revised schedule of the exam will be released soon.

In a similar case, the Education Ministry had cancelled the UGC NET that was scheduled for June 18 due to the possibility of a paper leak. The June session exam was administered for 11,21,225 applicants across 1205 exam centres located in 317 locations nationwide. However, it was eventually discovered that two days prior to the test, the question paper had been circulated over the dark web. The exam will now be re-conducted from August 21 to September 4.
