Police said a neighbor of Ms. Reynolds discovered her body at around 7:30 p.m. on September 29, when she had gone to their home to see it.
According to a charge filed by Cumberland Police in Allegany County District Court, the man told investigators that he and Ms Reynolds spoke daily, and was concerned because he had not seen her that day.
When he went into the house, a neighbor found Ms. Reynolds on the couch. His throat was slit and he had a pillow on his face. According to a police report, a vase and a cane were broken, indicating that a clash took place.

After killing the couple, officials said, Mr. Burnham stole his brother’s red Corvette and fled. The murders lead to a desperate search for Mr Burnham Which the police described as “armed and dangerous”.
Police said a tipster called Maryland State Police and told them that, at 4:45 p.m. on September 30, Mr. Burnham went to his home and asked for gas.
According to court documents, the man told investigators that Mr Burnham had said he would “see her on TV”.
“Burnham further said that his brother was ‘killing people with Covid shots’,” police said in court documents.
