London Police have released photographs of people sought in connection with the violence and disorder at the Euro 2020 final between England and Italy.

Europe’s football governing body UEFA on Tuesday said it has initiated disciplinary proceedings and accused England’s Football Association (FA) of disturbances during the Euro 2020 final against Italy at Wembley.

The final, which Italy won in a penalty shootout, was marred by clashes between fans and officials in and around the stadium.

The Met Police urged fans not to travel to Wembley if they did not have a ticket. However, several fans broke the security cordon and were relegated to the perimeter area of Wembley before kickoff.

British police arrested a total of 86 people during and after the Euro 2020 final, they said on Monday, with offenses ranging from crimes of public order to actual bodily harm (ABH), drunkenness and disorderly behavior and criminal damage. Police said 19 officers were injured.

“The careful investigation will continue to identify people of interest or indeed other crimes,” the Metropolitan Police said late Saturday.

“This investigation is in its early stages and I have no doubt that there will be further appeals and arrests,” the police said.

Black players on the England team were subjected to online racist abuse following their final loss, with racist comments prompting a police investigation and widespread condemnation.
