Following the directions of Superintendent of Police Dr Vineet ji, Bhadrachalam ASP Paritosh Pankaj along with the staff visited the remote village Gadde Madugu Gutti Koya in Dummugudem mandal on Monday. The ASP interacted with the villagers and pasted stickers with the message ‘Samacharam Maku-Bahumati Meeku’. ‘ (Information for us – gift for you) and the phone numbers of officials on the doors of village houses.

Pankaj said that the Maoists are obstructing the development in the villages by their anti-social activities. Besides, Naxalites were looting innocent tribals and keeping them away from development, he said.

The official said that the tribal people want to lead a peaceful life, however, the Maoist party leadership is trying to woo the tribals in the name of their party’s ideology. He said that if the villagers get any information about the Maoists, they should inform the police.

The ASP said that Maoists can be contacted on the phone numbers on the door stickers without fear and informers will be suitably rewarded. Dummugudem CI Ramesh, SI Narsee Reddy and Keshava Rao were present.
