Police crackdown in Patiala violence: 6 arrested including mastermind Parwana in 24 hours; 9 arrests made so far

The police have intensified the crackdown in the violence after the anti-Khalistan march in Patiala. In the last twenty-four hours, the police have arrested 6 more accused including the master mind of the violence, Barjinder Parwana. IG Mukhwinder Singh Chhina in Patiala said that these include 3 Sikh extremists, Shankar Bharadwaj, a partner of Shiv Sena leader Harish Singla.

Apart from this, Gaggi Pandit has also been arrested by the police by registering a case for giving hate speech on social media. In this case 3 people including Harish Singla and two Sikh fundamentalists have already been caught. The number of people arrested is now 9.

IG Chhina told that 20 special teams of Patiala Police have been formed under the leadership of SSP Deepak Parikh. Which are raiding all over Punjab. Parwana was nabbed from Mohali. After which he was taken to Patiala and arrested. Now he will be questioned after being presented in the court and taken in police remand.

After the displeasure of CM Bhagwant Mann over the Patiala violence, the Punjab Police has started a massive investigation. The call details of the accused are being scrutinised. Mobile tower location is being investigated. Apart from this, the video and CCTV footage of the violence are being investigated. IG Chhina said that CM Bhagwant Mann has given clear instructions that wrong posts, provocative statements on social media, demonstrations without permission should not be tolerated at all.

Conspiracy will also be probed: IG
IG Mukhwinder Chhina said that there is a well-planned conspiracy behind this case and someone is involved in it, it will also be investigated. At present the investigation is not affected, so nothing will be said about it.
