Mumbai: Hours after Union Minister Narayan Rane was arrested by Mumbai Police for his ‘slap’ remarks against Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, a video has gone viral on social media, claiming Was picked up and arrested.
In the viral video, Rane was arrested by the police while he was having food. Several BJP workers can also be seen in the video clip trying to stop the police from arresting the minister.
BJP workers blocked the police demanding the sections and charges under which they are arresting Rane. Several senior officers of Mumbai Police can be seen in the video available on the spot leading to the arrest.
There was a heated argument between Nilesh Rane (son of Narayan Rane) and the police. As per the audio, Nilesh can be heard saying: “How dare you touch her.”

Rane, who is seen eating food in the video, was requested by the police officers to accompany him.
The Union Minister was arrested for his controversial remarks against Uddhav Thackeray in which he said that he would slap the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Rane had said that he would have slapped Thackeray over his later ignorance of the year of India’s independence.
According to reports, Rane was taken into custody by the police in the coastal Ratnagiri district, where he is traveling as part of the Jan Ashirwad Yatra, and taken to the Sangameshwar police station.
