Police arrest nine for extortion after grenades were thrown at Haifa businessman’s home

Israel Police raided the homes of suspects on Monday from Umm al-Fahm and Haifa on suspicion of extortion by threats and throwing a grenade at the home of a businessman from Haifa, according to Israeli media.

Nine people were arrested, according to reports.

This follows an investigation that was conducted last month of extorting a businessman via threats. The police arrested the suspects for questioning, at the end of which they were imprisoned.
