Police arrest man for setting fire to hostage families’ tents

Israel Police arrested a resident of the South on suspicion of arson, for setting the tents of the hostages’s families alight. 

Thursday night in Jerusalem, a fire broke out amongst the tents near the Finance Ministry, which the police suspect to be arson. The fire was quickly extinguished by citizens nearby and only caused minor damage to the tent.

Detectives from the Moriah Police Station in Jerusalem arrived at the scene and opened an investigation in conjunction with the fire department.

The suspect has been transferred for questioning at the Moriah Police Station as the investigation continues.
