PM to inaugurate projects worth over Rs 16,800 crore in Deoghar, Jharkhand today

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Deoghar in Jharkhand on Tuesday (July 12, 2022) to inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects worth over Rs 16,800 crore, after which he will address the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. In Deoghar, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several development projects at around 12:45 pm and then visit and worship Baba Baidyanath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, at around 2:20 pm. After this, he will go to Patna at around 6 pm to address the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate the Deoghar airport, a significant step in providing direct connectivity to Baba Baidyanath Dham, an important religious site for devotees across the country. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), it has been constructed at an estimated cost of around Rs 400 crore. The terminal building of the airport is equipped to handle more than five lakh passengers annually.

PM Modi will also inaugurate the components of the “Vikas of Baidyanath Dham, Deoghar” project, which has been sanctioned under the PRASAD scheme of the Ministry of Tourism. The projects being inaugurated by the Prime Minister include development of two large shrine halls with a capacity of 2000 pilgrims, development opposite Jalsar Lake, and Sivaganga Talab development.

The new facilities will further enrich the tourism experience for the lakhs of devotees who visit Baba Baidyanath Dham.

PM Modi to dedicate IPD, operation theater services to the nation at AIIMS Deoghar

The Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation the In-Patient Department (IPD) and Operation Theater services at AIIMS, Deoghar.

The PMO said that this is in line with the vision of the Prime Minister to develop excellent health care facilities in all parts of the country.

PM Modi to inaugurate several road projects worth more than Rs 10,000 crore, lay foundation stone

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones of several road projects worth over Rs 10,000 crore. The projects being inaugurated include six laning of Gorhar to Barwara section of NH-2; Widening of Rajganj-Chas to West Bengal border section of NH-32. The major projects for which the foundation stone is being laid include four-laning of the Mirzachowki-Farakka section of NH-80; Four-laning of Hariharganj to Parwa More section of NH-98; Four-laning of Palma to Gumla section of NH-23; Elevated Corridor of Kachari Chowk Piska Mor section of NH-75 along with others.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various energy infrastructure projects worth about Rs 3000 crore for the sector. The projects to be inaugurated include the Bokaro-Angul section of GAIL’s Jagdishpur-Haldia-Bokaro-Dhamra pipeline; HPCL’s new LPG Bottling Plant at Barhi, Hazaribagh and BPCL’s Bokaro LPG Bottling Plant. The foundation stone for ONGC’s Parbatpur gas collecting station, Jharia block, Coal Bed Methane (CBM) asset will also be laid.

The Prime Minister will dedicate two railway projects Godda-Hansdiha electrified section and Garhwa-Mahuria doubling project to the nation. These projects will help in facilitating smooth movement of goods for industries and power stations. They will also ensure ease of train movement from Dumka to Asansol. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for three railway projects- Redevelopment of Ranchi Railway Station; Jasidih Bypass Line and LHB Coach Maintenance Depot, Godda. The proposed redeveloped Ranchi station will have world class passenger amenities including food court, executive lounge, cafeteria, air-conditioned waiting room etc. to ensure ease of movement along with the convenience of the passengers.

After Deoghar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Patna to address the closing ceremony of the centenary celebrations of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. He is also scheduled to inaugurate the Shatabdi Smriti Stambh, which has been built to commemorate 100 years of the Bihar Legislative Assembly.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the Vidhan Sabha Museum, where various galleries will display the history of democracy in Bihar and the development of the present civic structure. It will also have a conference hall with a capacity of over 250 people. On this occasion, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Vidhan Sabha Guest House.
