PM Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben’s health improving, likely to be discharged from hospital soon’: Gujarat government

Ahmedabad: The Gujarat government on Thursday said the health of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben is improving and she may be discharged from the hospital in a day or two. A message from the chief minister’s office said, “Hiraba is in good health. He is improving rapidly. He is likely to be discharged in a day or two. Oral feeding started last night.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday visited his mother Heeraben Modi at UN Mehta Hospital here, where she was admitted for treatment. The Prime Minister spent about one and a half hours with his mother, brothers and discussed with the doctors his health issues and also discussed the future course of action.

After leaving the hospital, BJP’s Rajya Sabha member Jugalji Lokhandwala told media persons that Heeraben is recovering fast and may be discharged soon.

According to sources, Hiraben had fallen ill on Tuesday night. He was first taken to Gandhinagar Government Hospital, from where he was referred to UN Mehta Hospital in Ahmedabad for further treatment.
