Prime Minister Narendra Modi will come to Punjab for a rally in the assembly elections. PM may visit Punjab on 7-8 February. However, the venue of the rally has not been finalized yet. Till then the rallies can be relaxed by the Election Commission. Former CM Captain Amarinder Singh said this in Patiala on Tuesday. Last time on January 5, PM Modi had to return without a rally due to the highway block in Ferozepur.

Captain Amarinder Singh said that along with Union Ministers Gajendra Shekhawat and Sukhdev Dhindsa, we will go to the whole of Punjab. After this PM Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also come for the rally.

Were back from security lapse last time

PM Modi had a rally in Ferozepur on January 5. Due to bad weather, he was going from Bathinda to Ferozepur by road. Due to the highway block in Pyarayana village of Ferozepur, he had to return after stopping on the flyover for 20 minutes. He could not reach the rally venue.

Punjab Police and central agencies surrounded by security lapse

On the return of the PM, the Union Home Ministry spoke of a security lapse. Coming to Bathinda’s Bhisiana airport, PM Modi also told the officers that ‘thank your Chief Minister, I have returned alive to Bathinda airport’.
