Mann Ki Baat News updatesPrime Minister Narendra Modi will address the 90th episode of his monthly radio program Mann Ki Baat at around 11 am today. Earlier, PM Modi had expressed happiness over the inputs for this month’s Mann Ki Baat.
The Prime Minister had urged people to share views on Mann Ki Baat either on MyGov or on the NaMo app.
In the 89th episode, the Prime Minister expressed pride that the number of unicorns in the country has crossed a hundred. PM Modi had said that the total valuation of these unicorns is more than $ 330 billion, that is, more than Rs 25 lakh crore. A unicorn is a start-up of at least Rs 7.5 thousand crores.
PM Modi said last year 44 unicorns came and this year 14 more were made in 3 to 4 months. He said that even during the pandemic, Indian start-ups are creating wealth and value. The average annual growth rate of Indian unicorn is higher than that of US, UK and many other countries.
The Prime Minister had pointed out that Indian unicorns are diverse and working in many areas such as e-commerce, fin-tech, ed-tech and bio-tech. He happily said that India’s start-up ecosystem is not just confined to big cities, but entrepreneurs are emerging from smaller towns and cities as well. He said this shows that in India, anyone who has an innovative idea can create wealth.
The Prime Minister had emphasized that proper mentoring is very important in the start-up world. He said that a good mentor can take the startup to new heights…and guide the founders to take the right decisions. He said that there are many mentors in India who have dedicated themselves to promoting startups.
