PM Modi’s address at the 96th Common Foundation Ceremony: New Happy Valley Complex dedicated to the country, PM said – Always remember the goal of self-reliant India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the valedictory function of the 96th Common Foundation at Lal Bahadur National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA), Mussoorie. PM inaugurated the new sports complex through video conferencing and dedicated the new Happy Valley Complex to the nation. First of all he wished Happy Holi. PM said, ‘On the occasion of Holi, I extend my best wishes to all the countrymen.’

PM said that your batch is very special. You are starting your work in the 75th year of India’s independence. Not many of us will be there when India enters its 100th year of independence, but this batch of you will be there and you will also be there. In this nectar of independence, you will play a big role in the development of the country in the next 25 years.

‘Keep in mind the goal of self-reliant India and modern India’
The Prime Minister said that the eyes of the whole world are on us at the stage of the 21st century at which India is today. In the situation arising out of Corona, a new world order is being formed. India has to increase its role in this new world order. In the coming years you will be managing a district or several government departments, so the goal of self-reliant India and modern India should always be in your mind.

Don’t take decisions in haste: PM Modi
PM Modi said, ‘When you take a decision, try to understand the root cause of what happened in the past. Never be in a hurry. Only then you will be able to take the right decision. Always wish for a challenging job, not just relax yourself. The more you think of going into the comfort zone, the more you will stop your development and the development of the country.

Understand the difference between file and field, PM asked civil service officers to take a decision keeping in mind the last person standing in line. You have to work by understanding the difference between files and fields. For the right experience you have to work at the grassroots level. Also the PM suggested that we should bring Artificial Intelligence and Data Governance course in LBSNAA for the coming generations.

Inauguration of new sports complex
PM Modi inaugurated the new sports complex and dedicated the new Happy Valley complex to the nation. The 96th Basic Course of Lal Bahadur National Academy of Administration is based on Mission Karmayogi and for the first time it has been included in the General Basic Course. The National Civil Service Capacity Program is known as Mission Karmayogi. This is to improve governance. 488 participants have participated in this course.
