PM Modi Urges Global Leaders To Mend Trust Deficit With Sabka saath, sabka vikas’ As The Mantra

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, speaking at the G20 Summit, called upon global leaders to mend the “trust deficit” caused by the Ukraine war. He emphasized the need for collaborative efforts, with the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’, and stressed the importance of innovative solutions and humanitarian approaches to address global challenges.

Addressing the inaugural session of the G20 at Bharat Mandapam in the national capital, PM Modi underscored the urgency of transforming the global trust deficit into one of trust and reliance, stating, “As the president of G20, India urges the world to collectively transform this trust deficit, guided by the mantra of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas’.”

Furthermore, he highlighted the need to find solid solutions for challenges spanning North-South divides, food and fuel management, terrorism, cyber security, health, energy, and water security, with an eye on future generations.

In a significant development, PM Modi announced the African Union’s permanent membership in the G20 and welcomed AU Chairperson Azali Assoumani to join the G20 leaders’ table as a permanent leader.

PM Modi began his address by expressing condolences for the earthquake-related fatalities earlier today.

India took over the G20 presidency in December, last year, with around 200 G20-related meetings held in 60 cities across the nation. India’s presidency has focused on inclusive growth, digital innovation, climate resilience, and global health access. Leveraging its presidency, India seeks to foster collaborative solutions benefiting its population and global well-being.

The G20 Summit saw participation from over 30 heads of state, top European Union officials, invited guest countries, and 14 heads of international organizations.
