PM Modi, top BJP leaders to address Yuva Morcha in Bengal on Vivekananda’s birthday

To serve man is to serve God which is the philosophy of Swami Vivekananda and on his birthday, BJP Yuva Morcha plans to launch saffron volunteers in West Bengal with this motto.

The saffron brigade has named him “Vivek Vahini”. Officially, the Vivek Vahini program will be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi will virtually address the session at 10:30 am while party president JP Nadda will virtually address the National Virtual Youth Rally.

Speaking to News18, BJP Yuva Morcha President Indranil Khan said, “More than 20,000 volunteers have registered, our motto is to be with the people, so we will launch it on Swamiji’s birthday. Every common man will get service from our side. Our team is ready.”

Vivek Vahini will have two parts. One part will examine patients. More than 100 doctors will give tele-consultation to the patients.

The other class will reach out to patients in any need. From bringing medicine to hospitalization, these saffron volunteers will be with the public.

Party insiders say that now BJP is not eyeing any election. They just want to create the impression that they are with people. Last year during the Covid wave, the Left parties came with red volunteers and TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee also came with volunteers called “Juboshakti” during the first wave.

This Vivek Vahini will also reach the common man in the same way.

TMC also has plans in West Bengal on January 12, the birthday of Swami Vivekananda.

Abhishek Banerjee also visits his constituency on his birthday with a target of 30,000 tests.

Speaking to News18, TMC youth president Sayoni Ghosh said, “Such an effort was needed the most during the first and second wave but the BJP was almost absent during the peak of the Covid crisis in Bengal. Instead, the central government had redirected West Bengal’s oxygen supply to UP. And if the intention is noble and to serve the people, then why wait till 12th.

“What does Bengal think today, what India thinks tomorrow. Therefore Vivek Vahini is nothing but a rip-off of Mamata Banerjee’s vision of supporting Bengal. This is an attempt by the BJP to try to increase its weak presence in the state in the hope of making an impact in the upcoming elections. People of Bengal associate them with ‘Bike Vahini’. We would urge the BJP to focus more on spreading and working on the message of unity and brotherhood that Vivekananda preached throughout his life instead of politicizing Swamiji.

Though the TMC and the Left are saying that the saffron camp has copied them, these volunteers will surely create an image in the times of Covid.

Even more so by being with people in case of emergency can benefit them in future.
