RanchiElaborate security arrangements have been made for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Jharkhand’s Deoghar district, where he is scheduled to inaugurate several projects, including an airport, on Tuesday. PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for various development initiatives and take part in an 11.5-km-long roadshow, a senior police officer said, adding that security has been tightened in the district.
During the visit, the Prime Minister will visit one of the 12 Jyotirlingas at Baba Baidyanath Dham temple, the official said. The Jharkhand Twitter handle of the saffron party said that on Monday evening, over one lakh earthen lamps were lit across the district by BJP workers and local people welcoming the PM. In a series of tweets, PM Modi shared the details of his itinerary.

He said, “Baidyanath Dham Deoghar is one of the holiest sites for us. It attracts people from all over the world. Some components of the development project will be inaugurated at the temple tomorrow during the program, which will give a boost to spiritual tourism.” ”
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone and inaugurate projects worth Rs 16,000 crore in Jharkhand, an official release said. A 657-acre airport dedicated to the people of the region has been built at a cost of Rs 401 crore to mark the occasion. Low-cost carrier IndiGo had last week announced that it would launch Kolkata-Deoghar flight service on July 12.

Talking about the super-specialty hospital, he said, “In line with our commitment to provide high quality healthcare services, in-patient department and operation theater services will be inaugurated at AIIMS, Deoghar.”
In another tweet, the PM said, “Many roads, rail and infrastructure works will also be launched or foundation stone will be laid in the event to be held in Deoghar tomorrow. These works will increase commerce and connectivity. Local economy will also get a boost.” Will get a boost because of these actions.”
Some leaders of the saffron party, including Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey, described the 11.5-km-long roadshow as a ‘historic event’.

Posters and banners welcoming the PM have been put up in many parts of Deoghar. According to a senior police officer, lakhs of people are expected to attend or take part in the roadshow on Tuesday, and measures are being taken in the area to ensure that the event goes smoothly.
Drones will be deployed to monitor the entire roadshow, the official said. Deputy Commissioner, Deoghar, Manjunath Bhajantri urged the devotees to visit Baidyanath Dham only after 3.30 pm on Tuesday to avoid any inconvenience due to security arrangements.
He also said that people from far and wide were reaching Deoghar to attend the Shravani Mela starting from July 14 and arrangements have been made for their safety.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday held a high-level meeting with senior officials and police officials to take stock of the preparations and security arrangements ahead of the PM’s visit.
