PM Modi to meet GHMC corporators, BJP leaders today over ‘tea meeting’
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited 47 BJP councilors of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to meet him in New Delhi today. The corporators will be accompanied by office-bearers of the Hyderabad unit and other senior leaders.
In an interaction with ANI on Monday, BJP leader and a spokesperson Prakash Reddy said, “Our corporators and office-bearers have been asked to meet the Prime Minister on Tuesday. He invited all of us during his recent visit to ISB, Hyderabad. Did it. It was raining heavily here, then we could not meet him. PM has invited us to meet him once again.” This will be an informal conversation.
“We all will reach Delhi tomorrow at 10 am. PM Modi will hold a tea meeting. It is only a courtesy visit. PM Modi will motivate us to work for the party. Keeping that spirit, we will meet the Prime Minister,” They said. Told.
Musheerabad’s GHMC Corporator, Supriya Gaur told ANI, “I am glad that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has invited GHMC corporators as well as Hyderabad unit office-bearers and other senior leaders to meet him in Delhi recently. In this, we have received an invitation to meet him. We will highlight the problems being faced in our corporation.”
The development comes a few months before the Telangana Assembly elections to be held next year. In the Hyderabad Municipal Elections held in 2020, BJP won 48 seats while AIMIM 44. TRS won 56 seats.
