The party said on Saturday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold talks with BJP members from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on January 18.
This will be Modi’s first political program in which party workers will participate after the Election Commission announced the schedule for elections to five state assemblies, including Uttar Pradesh.
Sources said that it is likely to be a virtual interaction. The Twitter handle of BJP’s Uttar Pradesh unit shared the program of the event and asked people to share their views and suggestions for the same through the NaMo app.
Announcing the assembly elections, the Election Commission has banned public meetings and roadshows till January 15 due to the rise in COVID-19 cases conducted by Omicron Edition and will clarify its future guidelines later in the day on Saturday.
