PM Modi slams oppn, says trying to divide nation on caste, religion

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a party meeting in Rajasthan’s Jaipur on Friday accused the opposition of trying to divide the nation on caste and religion. He said some political parties were injecting poison in the country for their own selfish interests.

During the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) national office bearers meeting which the PM attended online, he said, “Some political parties keep looking for small incidents of tensions to inject poison for their selfish interests.”

The PM urged the office bearers to stick to the country’s developmental issues. “Attempts will be made to deviate you from the country’s developmental issues, but you have to stick to them.”
