PM Modi in Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday shared the emotional story of a young girl with her family after two years at the launch of ‘Digital India Week 2022’ in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

The girl reminded PM Modi of the incident in a video. She was separated from her family at the railway station when they were on their way to a relative’s house in another city. A stranger took her for a few days to send her to an orphanage in Sitapur.

“I stayed in the orphanage for two years. When it was time for her to appear for her class 12th board exams, many other girls went back to their relative’s house. Since she could not do so, the orphanage gave her its own shifted to Lucknow branch,” said the girl.

This is where the officials came to issue the Aadhar card.

After a thorough investigation, the officials informed the orphanage authorities as well as the girl that she already had an Aadhaar card. The orphanage officials helped her find her family using her Aadhar card details.

This was one of the many incidents that PM Modi shared during the program in Gandhinagar.

Sharing another incident from Digital India, he said, “Now a street vendor also uses the same digital payment system that a mall’s showroom uses. I saw a video in which a beggar is making a digital payment using a QR code. Had been.”

This year the theme of ‘Digital India Week 2022’ is ‘Catalyst New India’s Takeday’.

Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Ministers Ashwini Vaishnav and Rajiv Chandrashekhar were also present at the event.

Talking about Fintech, the PM said, “Fintech endeavor is truly a solution by the people, for the people, for the people. The technology is India’s own, that is, by the people. It facilitated the transactions of the countrymen.” About 2,200 transactions are successfully received. Done per second through UPI. Our GIFT city of Gandhinagar is going to become a major fintech hub in the coming days, that’s my promise.”
