New Delhi/Washington: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Expect to visit the United States in late September.
There is no official confirmation yet but ANI has learned that preparations for the yatra are underway.
A source familiar with developments said that the schedule is yet to be finalized and it is at a premature stage.
According to the tentative plan, the possible dates of PM Modi’s visit to America are being fixed from 23-24 September.
PM Modi last visited America in 2019. During this, he and then President Donald Trump addressed a huge expatriate program in Houston.
After Washington, PM Modi will go to New York to attend the annual high level meeting United Nations General Assembly Session.
India is a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and its one-month presidency has just ended. Afghanistan, which has plunged into crisis Taliban acquisition, will be the main theme on Youth This time.
It is learned that the UNGA will be in a hybrid format this year.
There is no official confirmation of the visit yet, however, if it does, it will be PM Modi’s first physical foreign visit and the first personal meeting with US President Joe Biden.
This will be his first official visit to the US since President Joe Biden took office in January this year. PM Modi and Biden have met virtually in various multilateral meetings like Quad and G7 meetings.
