PM Modi addresses ‘Mann Ki Baat’, talks about importance of rivers

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday addressed the 81st episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat’, during which he highlighted the importance of rivers on the occasion of World River Day. In his inaugural address, PM Modi urged people to value every drop of water and work against pollution.

PM Modi said, “September 26 is an important day as it is associated with Indian tradition and heritage. Today is World River Day. I am reminded of Namami Gange Mission, which is progressing smoothly with people’s participation. ”

The radio program comes after his recently concluded visit to the United States where he addressed the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
