Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Bundelkhand Expressway in Jalaun on Saturday. After this, he said in the public meeting that efforts are being made to bring in the culture of collecting votes by distributing free revdi in the country. On this, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said, “To give free and good education to the children of our country and to provide good and free treatment to the people – this is not called distributing free rewari. We are laying the foundation of a developed and proud India. This work should have been done 75 years ago.”

Bundelkhand Expressway has been built for Rs 14,850 crore. The length is 296 kilometers. This is the sixth expressway of UP. People of more than 200 villages of 7 districts of Bundelkhand will get the benefit.
Big things of PM Modi-
- Those with Revdi culture will never build new expressways, new airports or defense corridors for you. The people of Rewari culture feel that the public will buy them by distributing free Rewari to Janardan. Together we have to defeat this thinking of them, remove Revdi culture from the politics of the country.

- The distance from Chitrakoot to Delhi by Bundelkhand Expressway has been reduced by 3-4 hours, but its benefit is more than that. This expressway will not only give speed to the vehicles here, but it will also accelerate the industrial progress of the entire Bundelkhand.
- We are not only creating convenience for the country, but we are also creating momentum. Today more than one lakh thirty thousand common service centers are functioning in UP.
- At one time there used to be only 12 medical colleges in UP. Today there are 35 medical colleges in UP and work is going on on 14. The work that is going on in the country today has two aspects. One is intention and the other is limitation. We are not only creating new facilities for the present of the country, we are engaged in creating 21st century infrastructure. We keep track of time. Kashi Vishwanath Dham was built in our government and was inaugurated in our government itself.
In PM’s program, people from 16 districts were brought in roadways buses.
Yogi said – now there is no need to be afraid of the bullies
CM Yogi Adityanath said – In Bundelkhand, people could not build houses on their ancestral land due to overbearing people. Due to the Gharauni scheme, it has now become possible that those who do not have papers, now they can build their own house. The wait for Bundelkhand since independence is over today.
PM gave expressway to Bundelkhand. You gave Arjuna subsidiary project in 2019. Bundelkhand is moving towards ‘Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal’. When you are going to inaugurate this expressway, I want to tell that the distance from Delhi to Bundelkhand will be 6 hours.

Akhilesh Yadav’s tweet, wrote – lack of vision to not build the expressway till Chitrakoot
Before the arrival of PM Modi, SP President Akhilesh Yadav has tweeted a video. There is a half-finished road in it. He wrote, ‘The flurry of inauguration of the half-completed Bundelkhand Expressway shows that its design has also been made like this, only then BJP government here, even after being near the Defense Corridor, Agra-Lucknow Expressway built during SP era. Like the airport could not be built. It is lack of vision to not develop it till Chitrakoot.’
Akhilesh Yadav tweeted this before the PM’s arrival this morning.
Responding to this, Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi has also tweeted. Minister Nandi has written, “Akhilesh ji, we have completed Bundelkhand Expressway eight months before the stipulated time period and have also saved Rs 1125 crore of hard earned money of the public.
In your time, projects were deliberately hung for a long time for loot, extortion and money laundering. It is fortunate that like every time, you did not make yourself laugh by saying that we had started the work of Bundelkhand Expressway and someone else is cutting the lace.”
Prime Minister had laid the foundation stone in February-2020
36 months was fixed for the construction of this expressway, but this record has been completed in 28 months. Its foundation stone was laid by the Prime Minister in February-2020. It is of 4 lanes. In future it can also be made 6 lane.
7 lakh trees will be planted along the expressway
This expressway will terminate at Gonda village near Bharatkoot area of Chitrakoot district. The expressway has a service lane of 3.75 meters wide. 7 lakh trees will be planted along its banks. The construction of Bundelkhand Expressway has cost Rs 14,850 crore.

The journey from Chitrakoot to Delhi will be covered in 6 to 7 hours.
First one had to go from Chitrakoot to Kanpur and then to Delhi via Etawah, Agra. This journey used to take 12 to 14 hours. The distance of the journey was around 700 kms. After the formation of Bundelkhand Expressway, now this distance will be reduced to only 626 km. That is, now this journey will be completed in 6 to 7 hours. The width of the expressway will be 110 metres. Underpasses have been made at various places for pedestrians and animals.

Expressway will change the fate of Bundelkhand
will make the journey easier: In future, the Gorakhpur Link Expressway, Prayagraj Expressway connecting with Purvanchal Expressway will make travel easier in the entire state.
200 villages will benefit: People of more than 200 villages of 7 districts included in Bundelkhand Expressway will get the benefit. It includes more than 150 villages of Bundelkhand.
BJP is strengthening the ground in Bundelkhand
In the name of Expressway and Defense Corridor, BJP is preparing to keep Bundelkhand as its stronghold. Even though the BJP has all the four Lok Sabha seats in Bundelkhand, yet the party has started strengthening Mission-2024 from now on.
In all the four Lok Sabha seats of Bundelkhand, Banda-Chitrakoot, Hamirpur-Mahoba, Jalaun and Jhansi-Lalitpur were won by the BJP in 2014 as well. Similarly, BJP won 16 out of 19 assembly seats in these 7 districts of Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Banda, Mahoba, Lalitpur, Jalaun, Hamirpur. Samajwadi Party got 3 seats.
