PM Imran asks allies not to comment against allies – Henry Club

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday urged his close aides not to make any comments against the government’s coalition partners.

Sources close to the premiere told dawn Mr Khan gave the instructions after Planning Minister Asad Umar called the government’s key allies – the Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) and the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) – as parties from some districts.

“PML-Q is a party of few districts whereas MQM is confined to Karachi only,” Mr. Omar said.

Earlier, Home Minister Sheikh Rashid Called PML-Q is a party of some districts, although later they backed down and apologized.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that he full faith In all the allies of the government. Qureshi said, “I have been saying this continuously and will reiterate even today that as a political activist I believe that all our allies are with us and my party and I have full faith in them.”

“We believe that they are very sophisticated and respected people. They have supported us at various points over these three years and we were, are and will be grateful to them,” the minister told a correspondent in Islamabad.

He said that he has faith in the allies of the government as they fully understand the strategy of the opposition and the truth of their promises. “They are seasoned politicians who will not be fooled easily. It is everyone’s right to meet and listen to others but they understand everything,” said the PTI leader.

Mr. Qureshi said the opposition would fail to win over the government’s allies.
