Prime Minister Naftali Bennett participated in the traditional reading of the Book of Lamentations (known as Megilut Ikha) with her son in Ranana on Saturday night, at the start of the Tisha Bev fast. Ends at sunset on Sunday. It commemorates the destruction of the First and Second Temples due to undue hatred among the Jewish people, which, according to tradition, led to their long diaspora.
