PM announces 75 Vande Bharat trains on 75th year of independence

PM Modi underlined that India has to move forward with new pledges for the next 25 years

New Delhi:

On the occasion of India’s 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today announced that Vande Bharat trains, such as the UDAN scheme for UDAN, will help connect remote areas of India.

“The country has resolved that 75 Vande Bharat trains will connect every nook and corner of the country in 75 weeks” Amrit Mahotsav of freedom,” PM Modi said.

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav“The government’s initiative on completion of 75 years of India’s independence is a tribute to freedom fighters and freedom struggle. A series of events are being organized across the country to mark the occasion.

“The pace at which new airports are being built in the country today, the UDAN scheme connecting remote areas is also unprecedented,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister, who unfurled the national flag at the iconic Red Fort before his speech, said capitals of the northeastern states would soon be connected by railways.

He said the region is also connecting with Bangladesh, Myanmar and Southeast Asia.

“We have to bridge the gap between life in villages and cities,” the Prime Minister said.

The Prime Minister gave a call for ”Sabka Prayas” along with ”Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas” for building a new India.

PM Modi underlined that India has to move forward with new pledges for the next 25 years.
