India’s batting superstar Virat Kohli was honored for having his 100th Test before the start of the Mohali competition.

India’s batting superstar Virat Kohli was honored by the BCCI on Friday morning ahead of the 100th Test match of his international career. Kohli has become the 12th player from India to complete a Test century, with Sachin Tendulkar holding the all-time record of playing 200 Tests – the most in the history of cricket.
The 33-year-old Kohli was presented with a special cap by India’s batting legend and current head coach of the team, Rahul Dravid, who termed it as a “good earning”.
“It’s well deserved, well earned, and hopefully it’s the start of many things to come. Double it as we say in the dressing room.”
Kohli’s wife and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma was also present during the brief ceremony. However, fans on Twitter were divided by Anushka’s appearance, with some questioning the logic behind it while others defending her.

Meanwhile, Kohli called it a ‘special moment’ for him and said that one thing for the coming generation is that irrespective of the three formats, he is capable of playing 100 Tests.
“It’s a special moment for me. My wife is here and so is my brother. So proud of everyone. It’s really a team game and it couldn’t have been possible without you. Thanks to BCCI too. In current cricket What the next generation can take away from the amount we play with three formats and one IPL is that I played 100 matches in the purest format.
