Tribal Development Minister of this area, still no development
People belonging to the tribal community of Chandsali are in mourning due to this incident. The most important thing about this case is that Tribal Development Minister KC Padvi also comes from this area. There are no roads in this area. Almost every year the Chandsali Ghat is closed due to landslides and thousands of tribals are imprisoned in their villages for several days. There are no health facilities in Chandsali village. Therefore people have to go to Nandurbar, Taloda, Dhadgaon for treatment.

Blasting is a major cause of landslide
A tower is being built for 132 kV sub-station in Dhadgaon. It is believed that explosives are being used to break the stone before its construction. Because of this, the mountains here have become weak and they start collapsing only in light rain.

As per the rules, roadside hills should be covered with iron mesh before blasting. However, locals complain that the contractor is not taking any such precautions.
