PIC| Kareena Kapoor And Karisma Kapoor Remember Uncle Rajiv Kapoor On His Death Anniversary

New Delhi: On the first death anniversary of late actor Rajiv Kapoor, members of the Kapoor family took to their Instagram to pay their heartfelt tributes to the late actor. Rajiv Kapoor, the youngest son of actor and filmmaker Raj Kapoor, breathed his last in February last year, after suffering from a cardiac arrest. He was 58 years old. His elder brother and actor Rishi Kapoor also died in April 2020 at the age of 67.

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor shared a throwback picture, in which her grandfather, actor-producer and director Raj Kapoor can be seen with his three sons- Randhir, Rajiv and Rishi Kapoor. Sharing the picture on her Instagram story, Karisma captioned it as, “Chimpu Uncle you are missed.”

Actress Kareena Kapoor, who is the younger daughter of Randhir Kapoor, re-shared Karisma’s post. Actress Neetu Kapoor, married to late Rishi Kapoor, also shared a throwback picture in the late actor’s remembrance. Sharing a picture of brothers Rajiv and Rishi, she wrote, “Miss you both, a year already”, followed with a heart emoji.

Rajiv Kapoor made his Bollywood debut in with the film ‘Ek Jaan Hain Hum’ in 1983. He became popular with his role in the movie ‘Ram Teri Ganga Maili’ in 1985. He also starred in films like ‘Zimmedar’, ‘Aasman’ , ‘Lover Boy’ and ‘Hum To Chale Pardes’ among others. He was also a producer and backed home productions like ‘Aa Ab Laut Chalen’ starring Akshay Khanna and Aishwarya Rai.

He was all set to make a comeback almost after 30 years with the film ‘Toolsidas Junior’, the filming of which was completed shortly before his death.
