Physio Nitin Patel to be taken to NCA, to help India players address rising cases of injuries

The head coach of the Indian men’s cricket team, Rahul Dravid, has reportedly recommended the transfer of physio Nitin Patel to the National Cricket Academy, where he will work towards addressing players with injuries that have been on the rise in the recent past. Patel may be promoted to head the Department of Sports Science and Medicine at the NCA.

The Indian team has suffered injuries in recent months to its star players including Deepak Chahar, Suryakumar Yadav, Varun Chakraborty. With the T20 and ODI World Cups scheduled for years after another, the team management is looking to harness Patel’s expertise in the academy where injured players are sent for rehabilitation.
