After a long wait, schools have reopened in most states of the country. While there is relief for the students from the corona virus, the scorching heat of summer has become a new nightmare for the students. in Bhubaneswar,

According to the IMD, morning classes in schools across the state have resumed on Saturday, while the mercury in the state touched 42 degrees Celsius on Saturday. Amidst the heat wave conditions, the school authorities have decided to reduce the time for classes.

Till now classes from class 1 to class 8 will start from 6.30 am to 10 am, while classes of class 9th and 10th will start from 7 am to 11.30 am. The department has decided to conduct classes in the early hours of the day due to heat wave conditions in the state.

Headmaster of Capital High School Jitendra Nayak said, “After two years we have resumed morning classes from Saturday. We are taking all COVID-19 precautions in the school premises as per the government guidelines.”

Rahul Sahu, a student, said, “We are glad to attend the physical class in the school, as now we can directly interact with the teacher and solve our problems.” The state government had also allowed educational institutions to reopen their hostels for students, while strictly following the COVID-19 protocols.
