Pfizer announced Friday that they are withdrawing all Champix drugs that are used to treat smoking because they contain chemicals that cause cancer, Ynet reported.
The chemicals were discovered in June, and the health ministry banned the sale of the drug until further notice.
People who have taken the drug will need to take it back to the pharmacy and consult with their doctors to find an alternative way to stop smoking.
