Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) continued to sell fuel at unchanged prices for the 50th consecutive day on Monday, July 11, 2022. The retail price of petrol in Delhi remains at Rs 96.72 per liter, while diesel consumers in the national capital will have to pay. 89.62 per liter. At the same time, the retail price of petrol and diesel in Mumbai is Rs 111.35 and Rs 97.28 per liter respectively. In Kolkata, a liter of petrol is sold at Rs 106.03, while in the capital West Bengal, a liter of diesel is sold at Rs 92.76. Petrol consumers in Chennai will have to pay Rs 102.63 per liter, while diesel consumers in the Tamil Nadu capital will have to pay Rs 94.24 per litre.
The prices of both the fuels were last revised on May 21 when Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced a reduction of Rs 8 in petrol excise duty and Rs 6 in diesel excise duty. Following this announcement, petrol price was reduced by Rs 8.69 per liter and diesel price by Rs 7.05 per liter in the national capital city on May 22.
