Petrol, Diesel Prices Today: Latest Petrol Price Announced; Check fuel rates in your city

Fuel prices in the country continued to remain unchanged on Thursday, January 13. In the national capital, a liter of petrol costs Rs 95.41 while a liter of diesel is retailing at Rs 86.67. In November, fuel prices were slashed after the central government reduced excise duty amid record-high gains. On November 3, the central government had reduced the excise duty on petrol by Rs 5 per liter and on diesel by Rs 10 per liter. Most of the state governments followed suit and reduced the respective VAT on fuel prices.

Fuel prices remained stable in Mumbai on Thursday. Consumers of petrol will have to pay Rs 109.98 per liter and those who buy diesel will have to pay Rs 94.14 per liter. The retail price of a liter of petrol in Kolkata is Rs 104.67 per litre, while the price of diesel is Rs 89.79 per litre.

Several factors influence fuel retail prices, including the international crude oil market. According to Reuters, crude oil prices fell on Thursday after two consecutive days of gains. Brent crude was down 6 cents, or 0.1%, to trade at $84.61 a barrel, while US West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude was down 7 cents, trading near $82.57 a barrel.
