Petrol, diesel prices remain unchanged today, yet at all-time high. Know Rates

Fuel price across India remained unchanged for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, 26 October. Meanwhile, the prices of petrol and diesel in the financial capital Mumbai remained the same for the second consecutive day. Petrol can be purchased at Rs 113.46 per litre, while the same quantity of diesel is priced at Rs 104 per litre. Diesel prices remained the same in Mumbai for three consecutive days on Tuesday.

Petrol price in Bangalore on Monday is Rs 111.38 per liter. Diesel rate was fixed at Rs 102.23 per liter. At the same time, the price of petrol in Chennai was Rs 104.52 per liter, while diesel could be bought at Rs 100.59 per litre.

According to a price notification by the Indian Oil Corporation, the price of petrol in Bhopal was Rs 116.26 per liter, while a liter of diesel could be bought for Rs 105.64.

Petrol and diesel prices are calculated by OMCs on the basis of crude oil prices across the world, among many other factors. Prices vary from state to state due to different Value Added Tax (VAT) levied by governments.

Amid strong demand in the United States, oil prices across the world eased on Tuesday after hitting multi-year highs on Monday and remained stable thereafter. On Monday, Brent crude futures gained 46 cents to close at $85.99.
