Kannada actor Vinay Rajkumar, having established his acting mettle with the film Run Antony, is now looking forward to his upcoming project titled Pepe. Makers have now unveiled the trailer of this film, directed by Sreelesh S Nair on August 18. The 2-minute 43-second trailer starts with the disturbing visuals of people killing each other. It also shows the visual of a woman fully drenched in blood. The trailer then proceeds to show Vinay assassinating people with a sickle. Going by the glimpse of the film, the audience can expect a narrative revolving around themes like crimes against women and group rivalries. “Love Blood and Betrayal”, Pepe’s trailer concludes with this tagline. The trailer has amassed more than 11,00,000 views and piqued the excitement around Pepe.
Social media users loved the film’s trailer and one of them wrote, “Vinay has the potential to become a cult actor in sandalwood. Just focus on good scripts. Pepe BGM is Lit . As per the reports, Pepe has cleared censorship formalities with an A certificate and is set to release in cinema halls on August 30. KRG Studios will distribute this film and stars Mayur Patel, Naveen D Padil, Yash Shetty, Kaajal Kunder and Medini Kelamane in key roles.
This film will also star Raviprasad Mandya, Kitty Sridhar, Shashidhar Bhat, Bala Rajwadi, Aruna Balraj, Sandya Arekere, and Shivu Kabbanahalli in pivotal roles. Poorna Chandra Tejaswi composed the music while Abhishek G Kasaragod handled the cinematography. Ravi Verma, Chetan D’Souza, Different Danny, and Narsimha have handled the action choreography.
Apart from the trailer, Pepe also sparked buzz amongst the audience for the film’s music. JG Kumara and Girijana Samagra Abhivruddhi Kala Samsthe have sung this track. The song is about the customs of the Jenu Kuruba tribe. The mass look of Vinay, as seen in the video, has impressed the audience.
