Gautam Buddha Nagar (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 6 (ANI): People thronged a Noida hospital on Monday, violating pandemic norms, to get their COVID-19 vaccines.
The incident was reported at Government District Hospital, Sector 30, Noida, where a large number of people gathered to collect their doses of COVID-19 vaccine. People were not seen following social distancing.
The hospital administration said that many people could not get vaccinated in the last two days as the stock of vaccines was short. Now after providing sufficient quantity of doses in the hospital, people gathered to loosen their pockets.
“For the past two days, we were getting low doses of the COVID vaccines. On Monday we got 3,000 doses of the vaccine. Our staff is there to make people aware to follow the COVID norms. We also built a new centre,” the chief medical superintendent told ANI.
Uttar Pradesh has recorded 120 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths in the last 24 hours, the state health department said on Monday. The new cases took the number of infections in the state to 17,06,739.
In the last 24 hours, 195 people have recovered from the disease, taking the total number of cured people to 16,81,912. Meanwhile, the active number of COVID cases in Uttar Pradesh stands at 2,181.
The new fatalities raised the COVID death toll in the state to 22,646. (ANI)
