As per reports, the AI ​​bot answered only 54 out of 100 questions correctly, which meant it did not clear the cut-off for the general category. The questions were varied and wide ranging from topics like Economy, Geography, History, Ecology, General Science and Current Affairs.

ChatGPT’s UPSC exam was powered by Analytics India Magazine (AIM). When ChatGPT asked before the exam whether he could succeed in the exam or not, he replied that it was going to be difficult. It provides wrong answers for topics like economy and geography which are not related to current affairs.

Anubhav Dubey, CEO of Chai Sutta Bar has taken a swipe and said “Don’t give up on ChatGPT, it’s only the first attempt”. He said that it is not in everyone’s capability to clear the UPSC exam in the first attempt. His comment is in reference to the difficulty of the exam as people generally do not clear the exam in their first attempt.

ChatGPT has passed many US exams

For viral chatbot ChatGPT, nothing has remained untouched since its launch on November 30 last year. It has taken the internet by storm and changed many things at once. Seen as disruptive, AI bots are seen changing many things on how we work, study and live in the near future. Many reports in the past claimed that ChatGPT has cracked some of the toughest exams in the United States of America.

ChatGPT passed the final exams for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. It also cleared the US Medical Exam and Google Coding Interview for Level 3 Engineers.
