Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) President Ramiz Raja on Wednesday expressed his gratitude to Cricket Australia (CA) for the successful completion of the multi-format series against Pakistan.
The multi-format series began in March with Australia winning the three-match Test series 1-0, followed by Pakistan winning the ODI series 2-1 and ending with Australia emerging victorious in the one-off T20I on Tuesday.
“Having witnessed and experienced firsthand what this great country has to offer, I am confident that Australia’s players and officials will take home nostalgia and become greater advocates and goodwill ambassadors for Pakistan than ever before. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to Cricket Australia who made this series possible by sending their best available players, as well as the PCB staff who delivered an excellent and flawless series on the backend of HBL PSL 7,” King said in a PCB statement.
Australia’s tour of Pakistan came to the country for the first time after a gap of 24 years. Raja lauded the demeanor and cricket displayed in the multi-format series. “The three-Test series in the final hour of the 15th day to find a winner was contentious and entertaining, while white-ball cricket confirmed the high billing and potential of both sides,” Raja said.

“The camaraderie and respect displayed by both sides during high pressure cricket was exemplary and a big advertisement for our game. Players from both sides through their behavior on and off the field have greatly enhanced the values and spirit of cricket, which is exactly what this great game is all about.”
Raja felt that after the series against Australia, Pakistan would have a lot of advantage in the future. He said, “World cricket is proud and grateful to both sides for the way he played this series and won the hearts and minds of cricket fans within and outside Pakistan. There is no doubt that Pakistan and world cricket are now in a better position than they were before this historic series.”
Raja signed the stadiums in Rawalpindi, Karachi and Lahore as well as thanking various stakeholders in the security, government, commercial aspect and broadcasting. “I am also grateful to our enthusiastic and energetic Pakistan cricket fans who made this series a huge success by reaching three venues to applaud and support both the sides.”
