A big thing has come to the fore about Paytm founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma. Vijay Shekhar was arrested by the Delhi Police on 22 February for rash and negligent driving, however, after which he was released on bail.

He was arrested under IPC section 279 (speeding and negligent driving). The incident took place on February 22 and an FIR was lodged by DCP Benita Marie Jacker’s driver constable Deepak Kumar in this regard. According to the FIR, the DCP’s vehicle was hit by a Jaguar Land Rover, allegedly driven by the CEO of Paytm, outside The Mother’s International School on Aurobindo Marg in Delhi.

Vijay Shekhar ran away after being hit
Driver Deepak told that there was a lot of traffic near Mother’s International School, so there the car slowed down and asked the partner to clear the traffic. Then a car came from the side and hit it and ran away. The number of that vehicle was from Haryana, whose number was written by the driver. When the investigation was done after the FIR, it was found that the vehicle belonged to Vijay Shekhar Sharma, after which the police took action.

Police started investigation after the incident
When the police investigated the matter, the number of the car turned out to be of a company in Gurugram. The police questioned the people of the company about the incident. It was revealed that the car is with Vijay Shekhar Sharma, who lives in GK-2. After this Vijay Shekhar Sharma was arrested.
