Pathaan: Siddharth Anand Talks About SRK’s Film Being Over the Top, Quotes Sholay

Shahrukh Khan’s Pathan is breaking records at the box office. After a long drought in Hindi cinema barring a few films like Brahmastra and Drishyam 2, the Yash Raj spy-thriller has given the right hope to the entertainment industry. The film’s director Siddharth Anand is enjoying the success. The filmmaker, known for films like War and Bang Bang, recently talked about his film ‘Over-the-Top’. He substantiates his answer by citing films like Sholay and Hum Aapke Hain Koun.

During a free-spirited chat with Film Companion, recalling the iconic scene from Sholay in which Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra and Hema Malini run away from Gabbar Singh despite being in the power of the situation, Siddharth Anand probed, “Let’s take for example Let’s take Sholay.
