A 71-year-old woman was rescued by fellow passengers after she fell from a moving train at Vasai railway station in neighboring Palghar district, officials said on Monday.
He told that the woman, who hails from Hyderabad in Telangana, was trying to board the Bhavnagar-Kakinada special train at around 5 pm on Saturday, when her foot slipped and she got stuck in the platform gap.
In the CCTV footage of the incident, two passengers can be seen running towards the woman and pulling her sharply, following which some policemen also come forward to help her.
A Western Railway official said the woman suffered back and leg injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital, from where she was discharged on Sunday after treatment.
